Public Area: Becoming a Trainer - Required Background

Last updated February 10, 2007

The fact that we feel strongly about sharing our method with as many trainers as possible is due to the following observation:

To be an excellent intercultural trainer, experience has shown us that a person needs the following:

Intercultural experience which is necessary to understand the field we work in as well as to understand participants' needs

Training experience and/or communication skills. Global'Ease does not train completely novice trainers; Global'Ease allows trainers to acquire specific expertise

Professional experience and an understanding of the business world and companies' needs which are needed to respond to the clients needs with relevance

A "Full Potential" attitude: we look for diversity in the backgrounds of the trainers in our network. Nevertheless, it is crucial that we share a common vision of intercultural and international growth, of diversity and of the collaboration with clients and the other trainers. Training should not serve as therapy. Trainers have to be objective toward their experience so that they can draw from it without transposing it onto the participants.

A quality training approach (educational foundation and tools)

To follow the Global'Ease certification process, trainers should have the first four. Through the training offered, Global'Ease can then provide them with the fifth, that is to say, the pedagogical foundation and tools of their intercultural training approach.
